 could ever accuse us of releasing too much music!’ quips Greg Carmichael
  on the release of their latest EP “The Empire of Lights”\, ‘but I think
  our fans know by now that we’re a little obsessive about only releasing
  music when we have something ready that we really love.’ The four track
 s on their latest release visit familiar themes for longtime fans\, from
  the western shuffle of “8\,000 Miles” to the reggae flavours of “Alisio
 ”\, the upbeat joy of “Back to Back” to the laid back groove of “Other P
 eople”. ‘We hope there’s something here for everyone\,” says Miles Gilde
 rdale\, “we’re very lucky that over the years we’ve found fans that just
  get what we’re doing\, so we can wear our influences on our sleeves and
  not have to try and fit into any one style.’ With over 35 years of reco
 rding and touring\, the band’s longevity may be due in part to that spir
 it of never trying to fit in\, but to just make music that they love\, ‘
 I feel really grateful that we’ve been on such a long journey with our f
 ans and they’re still there with us.’ Greg says\, ‘We talk after shows a
 nd it’s always such an honor to hear the stories of how our music has be
 en the soundtrack to so many people’s lives.’ This EP is the first of a 
 series of shorter musical releases that will eventually combine into a f
 ull album.’ Miles says\, ‘We know that these days people listen to our m
 usic in lots of different ways but I think we all remember the thrill of
  bringing a new record home and listening from start to finish\, so we t
 ry and make sure everything we release works in that way as well as on p
 laylists.’ The Empire of Lights will be released to all music platforms 
 worldwide on June 13th 2025 and a limited run of CDs will be pressed to
