DESCRIPTION:The VTSU Castleton Theatre Arts Program presents Pippin. With
  an infectiously unforgettable score from four-time Grammy winner\, thre
 e-time Oscar winner and musical theatre giant\, Stephen Schwartz\, Pippi
 n is the story of one young man's journey to be extraordinary. Winner of
  four 2013 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival\, this updated cir
 cus-inspired version of Pippin continues to captivate and appeal to the 
 young at heart throughout the world. Heir to the Frankish throne\, the y
 oung prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulf
 illment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield\, the temptations
  of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of h
 is father\, King Charlemagne the Great). In the end\, though\, Pippin fi
 nds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors\, but rather in t
 he unextraordinary moments that happen every day. Advanced signup is not
  required for Soundings students. Soundings students may only receive cr
 edit for attending one of the four Pippin performances. This event is op
 en to the public. Adult tickets are $20. Discount tickets are available 
 for $15 for seniors\, students\, and VTSU faculty\, staff\, and alumni.
