SUMMARY:Sharon Stone
DESCRIPTION:FREE REGISTRATION HERE. Support authors and local bookstores
by preordering a copy of The Beauty of Living Twice from Skylight Books
here. Sharon Stone dazzled us in Basic Instinct\, between her beauty and
utterly terrifying performance. She dazzled again in Albert Brooks’ com
edy\, The Muse –proving she’s as adept at playing a sociopath as she is
at playing a muse for a writer with an impressive case of writer’s block
. And now Sharon Stone has a major part in Netflix’s Ratched\, where she
embraces her age and not a little eccentricity. But television and film
are only a minor part of Stone’s story. In her new book\, The Beauty of
Living Twice\, Stone looks back and forward–unsparingly–and speaks with
intimate candor about her challenges\, triumphs\, and her disappointmen
ts. She recounts her struggle to come back from a massive stroke\, which
took a tremendous toll on her career and family. Among her proudest ach
ievements is her international activism–in HIV/AIDS\, and poverty and ed
ucation in Africa. Her activism has won her countless accolades\, includ
ing the 2013 Nobel Peace Summit Award for her work on AIDS.\n\nTickets:
