SUMMARY:Life Hoax: Singles Night
DESCRIPTION:6pm | 6:30pm | Advance $12 Day of Show $15 + Dice Fees | 16+
W/ The Manor Born\, Toylit\, Dirt Baby Emerging from the vibrant yet und
erstated music scene of Tucson\, Arizona\, Life hoax is a post-hardcore
ensemble that has quickly drawn attention since forming in late 2024. Th
e band was born from the collaboration of vocalist and songwriter Joshua
  Paynter (Milwaukee\, WI)\, drummer Joshua Day (Cardiff\, Wales)\, and b
assist Nicholas Laguna (Tucson\, AZ). Drawing from a diverse range of in
fluenses – spanning the raw intensity of Drug Church and Fugazi to the a
rt-rock edge of Queens of the Stone Age and the melodic pull of Blink-18
2 –Life Hoax blends these sensibilities into a sound that carves out its
own distinct niche. Since August 2025\, LIfe Hoax has been releasing si
ngles that explore interpersonal themes and a subtle mystique rooted in
the Sonoran Desert. The mid-tempo “Quiet Lines” shifts between post-hard
core and post-punk\, confronting unspoken truths\, shared burdens\, and
unacknowledged blame. “Bloodsuckers” is a scathing indictment of the Ame
rican healthcare industry\, propelled by raucous guitars\, thunderous dr
ums\, and surfy basslines. “Fixed Draw” channels the band’s namesake wit
h an anthemic power-chord chorus featuring chants of “life is a hoax\,”
while its verses depict a reality in which truth and illusion can no lon
ger be reconciled. Though still in its infancy\, Life Hoax has already b
egun making strides on stage. Their performances are marked by a viscera
l intensity that resonates deeply with audiences. With each show\, the b
and demonstrates its commitment to delivering an unforgettable live expe
rience and forging genuine connections with fans. Life Hoax is dedicated
to leaving a lasting mark on their music community\, one fan at a time.
With their distinctive sound and captivating live presence\, the band h
opes to carve out their place and win over new listeners along the way.
A cache of upcoming singles will help pave that path.\n\nTickets: https:
