SUMMARY:Octave Cat with Natalie Brooke
DESCRIPTION:About Octave Cat The music ranges from stripped-down jazz gro
oves to analog synth dance music. Influences such as Herbie Hancock's ja
zz-funk and Four Tet's electronica can be heard throughout their sound.
Octave Cat pushes the boundaries of jazz and jam by incorporating elemen
ts of electronica\, carving out their own unique musical space. About Na
talie Brooke Natalie Brooke is a Baltimore-area virtuoso funk-rock keybo
ardist leading a powerhouse four-piece band. Fronting the group on keys\
 , synth\, keytar\, and vocals\, she blends high-energy funk and rock wit
h deep jazz and classical roots\, backed by Nathan Shulkin on drums\, Ne
ster on bass\, and Luke Walker on guitar. The result is a fast-moving\,
dance-forward live show with an infectious sound once described as a mas
hup of Rick James and Rush. Parking • There is limited parking available
