 ed in a Milwaukee college dorm room in 1988\, The Gufs emerged from a gr
 itty\, thriving local music scene and built their reputation through a g
 rassroots approach: writing songs\, packing clubs\, and taking their mus
 ic on the road. The band — Goran Kralj (vocals\, piano\, guitar)\, Morga
 n Dawley (guitar)\, Dejan Kralj (bass)\, Scott Schwebel (drums)\, and la
 ter Brian Pettit (percussion) — spent years cultivating a devoted Midwes
 t following while releasing independent records\, including Staring Into
  the Sun\, Songs of Life\, and Collide. Strong college-radio support and
  a growing hometown audience eventually led to a deal with Atlantic Reco
 rds in the mid-1990s. All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied
  by a parent or legal guardian and supervised at all times while inside 
 the building. Failure to provide proper supervision may result in remova
