DESCRIPTION:CHRIS PITSIOKOS is the most talked about young saxist who has
emerged from the Downtown Scene in the past few years. He has a singula

hing for further out experimentation. He leads several bands (check out
the CP Unit on Clean Feed) and has collaborated with Weasel Walter\, Nat
e Wooley\, Dre Hocevar and Joe Morris. Chris recently toured in Europe\,
Japan and the mid-west. His recent solo sax sets are well worth checkin
g out!Cologne-based trombonist MATTHIAS MUCHE was recently part of a gre
at trombone trio with Jeb Bishop and Matthias Muller\, whose recent CD (
on Not Two) was dedicated the late Johannes Bauer. Mr. Muche recently pe
rformed at the Austrian Cultural Center (midtown\, NYC) with Studio Dan\
,a New Music Ensemble. He has worked with Nicola L Hein\, Ernesto Rodrig
ues and Achim Tang.In a city where there are dozens of great drummers\,
GERALD CLEAVER\, is perhaps the most in-demand of them all. Besides his
own ensemble Black Host\, Mr. Cleaver works with Farmers by Nature\, Kal
abalik\, Lotte Anker\, Samuel Blaser and Mario Pavone. This is a first ti
me meeting of these three formidable musicians. Do not miss this amazing
