SUMMARY:"Weird Al" Yankovic: UHF Live-to-Screen with Orchestra and Live Q
 &A
DESCRIPTION:Greek Theatre Pit: Seated All Ages. All require a ticket for
entry. UHF Live-to-Screen with Orchestra and Live Q&A with “Weird Al” Ya
nkovic and Special Guests It’s been 37 years in the making! “Weird Al” Y
ankovic is bringing his classic comedy UHF back to the big screen for on
e night only at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday\, October 3
 1. And for the first time ever\, the film’s original score will be perfo
rmed live on stage by a full orchestra\, conducted by none other than th
e score’s composer John Du Prez\, accompanying the film. And to polish o
ff the night\, following the movie there will be a Q&A with Weird Al and
special surprise guests! “I am thrilled that the UHF score will fly onc
e more this October. Everything we imagined in the studio all those year
s ago will finally take on a new life performed in real time by a full s
ymphony orchestra and Al's wonderful band.” “I’m so excited to join the
great John Du Prez on stage at the Greek to celebrate the 27 th annivers
ary of the 10 th anniversary of the release of UHF\,” says Yankovic. “Th
is will truly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.” According to the orig
inal Orion Pictures press release: “George Newman (Yankovic) has an imag
ination that works overtime. But George himself can’t hold a job for mor
e than 24 hours. Then one day his Uncle Harvey wins a tiny ‘ UHF ’ telev
ision station in a poker game\, and names George its new manager on the
grounds that nobody could screw up things at the station any worse than
they already are.” And the rest is comedy history.\n\nTickets: https://w
