 ies and whipping crowds into a groove-inspired frenzy. Their weapon of c
 hoice? The best R&B\, Soul\, and Funk music of the modern era. But wait\
 , let's get specific for a minute. We're talking about the top-shelf stu
 ff. Stevie Wonder\, Michael Jackson\, Prince\, D'Angelo\, Ike and Tina\,
  and The Isley Brothers. Heck\, we even throw in the Roots covering Mya 
 covering Les McCann covering Roberta Flack. Deep\, right? And there's so
  much more. The point is\, The Pocket Kings bring an incredibly tight mu
 sical performance full of interesting\, funky\, danceable songs that wil
 l keep any joint jumping all night. The music sounds great\, and people 
 can't resist shaking something when they hear it—preferably what their m
 amas gave them. Some people even feel compelled to give us awards—like t
 he 2023 WAMI for Best R&B/Funk Band. The band is made up of Greg McMonag
 le (vocals)\, Kelvin Kaspar (guitar)\, Mike Malone (drums)\, Matt Vander
 linden (bass)\, and Steve Radke (keyboards). If you're really lucky\, yo
 u might catch us with a full horn section\, and then things get serious.
  Collectively\, we've played all over Wisconsin and beyond at events lik
 e Waterfest\, Wisconsin Funk Fest\, and the Oshkosh Main Street Music Fe
 stival. Lots of fests. We've opened for well-known acts like Tower of Po
 wer and Gregg Rolie (from Santana and Journey). Also Loverboy. I know. W
