SUMMARY:Goodnight Moonshine Quartet feat. Molly Venter of Red Molly
DESCRIPTION:Goodnight Moonshine is a musical marriage—the guitar and voca
l duet of renowned Red Molly singer Molly Venter and prolific producer/g
uitarist Eben Pariser. Their collaborative result is a sophisticated fol
k sound built around Molly's enviable voice and Eben's wide\, imaginativ
e harmonic sensibilities (NPR). Goodnight Moonshine is a musical marriag
e—the guitar and vocal duet of renowned Red Molly singer Molly Venter an
d prolific producer and guitarist Eben Pariser. Their collaborative resu
lt is Americana built around Molly's enviable voice and Eben's wide\, im
aginative harmonic sensibilities. Molly is well known for her sublime si
nging in the prominent female-vocal-group Red Molly\, while Eben cut his
teeth as a street performer in New York City\, playing guttural music o
f New Orleans with his band Roosevelt Dime. Molly’s voice\, which can be
called both “biker-chick smoky” (New Haven Register)\, and “like silk”
(American Songwriter Magazine)\, has taken her career to highlights incl
uding Tønder Festival in Denmark\, Kate Wolf Fest in CA\, Cayamo the acc
laimed music festival cruise\, and multiple placements on television and
film. In Goodnight Moonshine she is in full force as a songwriter. Her
trance-induced stream-of-consciousness writing style results in composit
ions that probe the depths of her inner experience. Her hit song “Hold I
t All”\, (originally recorded with Red Molly and re-imagined on Business
Unusual)\, questions the meaning of life\, and grapples with acceptance
 - with the honesty and heart usually reserved for literary writers\, whi
ch she also is: she writes a weekly column onPatreon.com Starting as a b
lues guitarist in his teens\, Eben’s imagination was quickly captured by
classic jazz\, which he studied at the Oberlin Conservatory. “Pariser’s
harmonic sensibilities are wide\, imaginative” (NPR)\, and his career h
as involved singing lead and playing bass with Roosevelt Dime\, playing
drums and being musical director of Red Molly- but it is his love of gui
tar and improvising on display in Goodnight Moonshine. He combines flat-
picking virtuosity\, with a depth of jazz knowledge\, and a touch of spi
ritual psychedelia. He looks up to players like Django Reinhardt\, Ry Co
oder\, and Bill Frisell. A natural producer\, Eben now has 9 studio reco
rds under his belt for himself and other artists. Eben and Molly met in
2011 at Folk Alliance International\, in Memphis\, TN\, and were married
in 2014 in New Haven\, CT. They currently reside in Hamden\, CT with th
eir 3 kids Otis (10)\, Manny (5)\, and Rav (5). Goodnight Moonshine are
excited to release their third studio record titled "Business Unusual" f
eaturing eleven magical songs selected from 30 days of recording\, spice
d with subtle and sophisticated accoutrement from drummer Ryan Sands\, a
nd bassist Adam Chilenski. Business Unusual builds on their two previous
studio records\; the self-titled debut album Goodnight Moonshine (2013)
\, and I’m The Only One Who Will Tell You Your Bad (2018). LIVE MUSIC PO
