a beloved member of the Washington DC area music community\, and a risi
ng star that the world lost too soon at the young age of 33 after just a
three month battle with cancer. Shortly after her death\, The Washingto
 n Post wrote that Eva “could sing anything — folk\, blues\, pop\, jazz\,
R&B\, gospel — and make it sound like it was the only music that matter
ed.” She performed at famous Washington DC music venues like Blues Alley
and The Bayou\, and released an album of duets with Chuck Brown in 1992
. Her other albums – now well known in the US and abroad – were released
after her death. She never saw the impact her voice and music has had o
n the world and future generations of musicians.\n\nTickets: https://www
