SUMMARY:Sofia Goodman's Jazz Jam
DESCRIPTION:Sofia Goodman Jazz Jam is now a monthly gathering at Vinyl Ta
p—an open\, high-vibe jazz jam led by one of Nashville’s most respected
bandleaders. Drummer\, composer\, and educator Sofia Goodman sets the to
ne alongside a stellar house trio\, creating a supportive space for musi
cians to play\, listen\, and connect. Jazz standards are encouraged\, as
the jam is focused on musicians who want to explore this rich tradition
that has shaped music and culture for over a century. The focus is on d
eep listening\, musical curiosity\, and good energy all around. Original
charts can be included with prior notice. Email thesofiagoodmangroup@gm
ail.com if this appeals to you. This jam is intentionally welcoming and
community-driven\, with a strong encouragement for women and underrepres
ented players to take the bandstand. Whether you’re a seasoned improvise
r or stepping into a jam for the first time\, this is a room built on re
spect\, openness\, and shared love of the music. Come to play\, come to
listen\, come to hang. Good vibes only. Always.\n\nMore info: https://ww
