DESCRIPTION:The creative practitioners presenting at this semester’s GWU 
 Corcoran “Research + Practice” event series build on a project in bringi
 ng together the arts and design in dialogue. The GWU Corcoran learning c
 ommunity and the artists and designers of the DC region recognize a shar
 ed purpose in elevating the culture-shaping work(s) of diverse and free 
 expression. The “Research + Practice” happenings are a supportive platfo
 rm for connecting ideas and people across the creative fields\; they enc
 ourage interdisciplinary exchange as a vital ingredient in advancing bot
 h arts-design scholarship and the arts and design in society. All events
