SUMMARY:Condensed Book Club: "The Veldt" by Ray Bradbury
DESCRIPTION:Book clubs can be intimidating\, especially when you haven't
finished the book. That's why we've created a Condensed Book Club\, wher
e we read short stories together\, and discuss. No prior reading require
 d. All you have to do is show up. All the thoughtful discussion of a tra
ditional book club with none of the pressure. For our November meeting\,
we'll be reading "The Veldt" by Ray Bradbury from the collection The Il
lustrated Man. Reserve your spot on Eventbrite by clicking THIS TEXT! Ab
out the facilitator: Dylan Joyner is a writer\, curator\, and native Ang
eleno. She brings a deep and rich love for the city of Los Angeles to he
r work. Dylan is interested in narrative traditions\, whether expressed
in written\, oral or visual form\, for the space they allow for personal
inquiry and connection. She believes that free\, in-person creative and
educational opportunities are indispensable\, and that they equip commu
nity members with the tools they need to build meaningful connections.\n
