SUMMARY:One Painting: Four Color Palettes with Jude Valentine
DESCRIPTION:@ This class meets weekly on zoom for four Thursdays. This cl
ass is eligible for access rates. Color wheels are an excellent foundati
on for learning to mix color\, but what comes next? In this class\, you
will explore how to develop color schemes from the color wheel and use t
hem to create effective color compositions. Working from a single compos
ition throughout the course\, we will investigate how the overall select
ion of colors in a painting can be thoughtfully constructed to create at
mosphere and mood. Each class will be dedicated to understanding the app
lication of one or more color schemes such as analogous\, complementary\
 , split-complementary\, triadic\, rectangular and monochromatic. Suitabl
e for beginner and intermediate painters\, this class will provide parti
cipants with a working understanding of color application and a sampler
of different color schemes for reference. Jude Valentine completed her B
FA at the Maine College of Art and MFA in Visual Art from Vermont Colleg
 e of Fine A\n\nMore info: https://www.farnsworthmuseum.org/event/one-pai
