DESCRIPTION:TICKET LINK | Ruthie McQuinn - vocals\, fiddle Michael Duffy
-piano and bodhran\, Scott Pedersen - button accordion For over ten year

nditions of traditional music from the Celtic nations and Appalachia. Aw
ard-winning vocalist\, songwriter and fiddler Ruthie McQuinn is joined b

ordion. The Krause Family is an Americana and Bluegrass band known for i
ts organic sound and close harmonies. They were discovered by Garrison K
eillor and Prairie Home Companion\, invited back for appearances and enc
ores. They have continued to play together\, never tiring of finding new
material for the family. Ruthie\, also a member of the popular Krause F
amily Band and The Ramblin’ Kind\, released her first solo album\, “Ruth
enium\,” in 2023. She has received the Wisconsin Area Music Industry awa

family background in Irish traditional music\, including accompanying hi
s fiddle-playing father. His flair on bodhran and Irish bones adds excit
ement to the band’s sound. Scott started playing button accordion in the
1990s\, after a background playing piano in a big band and award-winnin
g piano-accordion playing in his youth. He cites as influences Jackie Da
ly and Pat Cloonan.\n\nMore info: https://www.northstreetcabaret.com/eve
