, $40. No one explains politics as clearly as Robert Reich. And now\, he
gives us much to think about in terms of our shared American past and f
uture. How do we deal with the current wave of assaults on truth\, journ
alism\, and science? How do we deal with the assault on democracy? Rober
t Reich\, political commentator and activist and former Secretary of Lab
or under President Clinton\, argues that our shared values — Democrat an
d Republican– were once\, not too long ago\, about serving a Common Good
. Reich cautions that the “me first\,” and “win at any cost” kind of men
tality pervasive in our society and government at this moment\, will und
ermine the very core of our American values\, and ultimately\, our democ
racy. The question of what’s right and what’s good for the country at la
rge has been hit by a series of economic and social scandals that have i
mpacted all of us since the 1970’s. How do we reclaim our sense of the C
ommon Good? And can we? Reich argues that yes\, we can. And he argues th
at our very existence as Americans depends on it.\n\nMore info: https://
