SUMMARY:BOYS GO TO JUPITER - w/ Thesaurus Rex
DESCRIPTION:$20 advance\, $23 day of show General Admission (Standing) -
Doors at 7PM Boys Go To Jupiter is most definitely a band. But it feels
like something else. A friend you can just talk to for hours. A story th
at hooks you from the very first word. Or three Brooklyn twenty-somethin
gs who really\, really love a great song. A whirlwind of influences and
genres\, their captivating sound is grounded in strong storytelling and
powerful live performance. Blending joyful indie-pop\, dreamy soul\, lus
h folk and sugary punk\, the Brooklyn-based band delivers. Whether suppo
rted by their six-piece band or as a trio\, they share a love for songs
 with heart\, humor\, and hooks that have audiences dancing\, singing\, c
rying\, and back again. Their debut album Meet Me After Practice was rel
eased in February 2025 and are currently recording their next project. T
hesaurus Rex is the Brooklyn-based indie rock band that actually invente
 d indie-rock in 2022 shortly after waking up from a chicken-parm induced
food-coma. The band lives up to their name with "witty yet sharp-edged
lyrics" (Off The Record). Their diverse musical backgrounds combine to c
reate the bands eclectic sound\, filled with social commentary and narra
tive which has earned them the distinction "...The Trader Joe’s\, [...]
of the NYC music scene\, because they appeal to over-educated and underp
aid Zillenials..." -The Listener’s Bouquet Contact Us: contact@thedrakea
