SUMMARY:Steepland String Band
DESCRIPTION:‘Steepland String Band’ is a high altitude bluegrass act dist
illed deep in the mighty San Juan Mountain Range of southwestern Colorad
 o. ‘Steepland’ is a fast driving\, hard picking acoustic quartet that ex
plores a vast multitude of musical genres\, while managing to stay roote
d in bluegrass tradition. Forming around the love for and dedication to
live music\, ‘Steepland’ has created a unique style of their own\, while
managing to carve a niche in a genre of increasingly similar sounds. Dr
awing from an extensive library of covers\, and a continually expanding
catalogue of original material\, each show successfully develops an expe
rience for audiences that keeps them coming back for more. From the slap
-style upright bass\, to the piercing mandolin solos\, Scruggs-style ban
jo rolls\, funk infused guitar leads\, and lonesome three part vocal har
monies\, ‘Steepland String Band’ is definitely right at home in Colorado
’s community of progressive acoustic aficionados and dedicated show-goer
