  and raised in Oklahoma\, Bishop first gained national prominence in the
  1960s as a founding member and lead guitarist of the groundbreaking Pau
 l Butterfield Blues Band\, which was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hal
 l of Fame in 2015. Striking out on a successful solo career\, he achieve
 d his biggest commercial milestone in 1976 with the soulful\, number-thr
 ee Billboard hit “Fooled Around and Fell in Love\,” featuring Mickey Tho
 mas on lead vocals. Beloved for his energetic live shows and a musical s
 tyle that seamlessly blends deep Chicago blues with rock\, country\, and
