SUMMARY:An evening of storytelling around the fire with Jake Lewis AND Al
 y Foy
DESCRIPTION:Join journeyman storytellers Jake Lewis and Aly Foy for an ev
ening of storytelling in the old way that is forever new. With improvisa
tional style\, Jake and Aly will each take your imagination on a walkabo
ut\, where the Otherworld keeps poking up through the gauze of what we t
hink we know. Come and be captivated stories that speak to perennial hum
an themes\, and with a short reflection after each. AND\, given its prox
imity to Hallowe’en\, each tale will follow that theme. Bring your appet
ite for marvels. Appropriate for all ages\, though there are some adult
themes or violent images in these old stories. Please contact Jake or Al
y directly if you would like to bring young children. WEBSITE Myths\, ta
ll tales\, and epics have been a part of Jake Lewis' life since a young
age. Making sense of the world through old stories has always made sense
to him. Jake has guided people on transformative educational experience
s for nearly 15 years\, and combines that "dirt time" with a deep study
of the human psyche\, a playful spirit\, and a reverence for participati
on. He has studied with master storytellers Dr. Martin Shaw (School of M
yth) and Stephen Jenkinson (Orphan Wisdom School). With a background in
professional theater and audio recordings\, Jake's tellings bring an arr
ay of characters to life in deeply human\, and more-than-human\, ways. W
