DESCRIPTION:Talking about what we want at the end of life can be difficul
 t. We may know there are conversations we need or want to have with the 
 people we love\, but figuring out how to begin can sometimes be the hard
 est part. This workshop grew out of a request during a recent Explorator
 y Conversation\, and in October\, we’re going to spend some time doing j
 ust that: learning how to start the conversation. For this special works
 hop-style Exploratory Conversation\, we’ll talk about how to begin conve
 rsations with family\, friends\, and loved ones around end-of-life plann
 ing\, decisions\, wishes\, and choices. We’ll explore what can make thes
 e conversations difficult\, what we may want the people closest to us to
  know\, and ways to approach these discussions before a crisis requires 
 them. The session will include guided conversation\, reflection\, practi
 cal tools\, and an opportunity to begin thinking through a conversation 
 you may want to have in your own life. Who is this for? This workshop is
  for adults at any stage of life who want to become more comfortable thi
 nking and talking about end-of-life wishes and choices. You may be young
  and healthy. You may be helping aging parents or other loved ones. You 
 may have experienced a loss that changed the way you think about plannin
 g ahead. You may be a solo ager or thinking about who you would want inv
 olved in your care and decision-making if you don't have a traditional c
 ircle of family or close friends. Or you may recognize that these are co
 nversations worth having before they become urgent. You’ll leave with id
 eas\, practical tools\, and language you can use to help you begin. As w
 ith all Exploratory Conversations\, you are welcome to participate at yo
 ur own comfort level. You will never be required to share personal infor
