SUMMARY:Klez Fest Midwest: Tsuzamen and Fugu Dugu - Free Concert
DESCRIPTION:Tsuzamen is an indie klezmer band based in Madison\, Wisconsi
 n. Tsuzamen means “together” in Yiddish\, and we seek to build community
and connections through our music. We draw on rock\, bluegrass\, blues\
, funk\, and other traditions\, bringing them into conversation with kle
zmer and Yiddish music. Call it klezcore! Call it klezgrass! Call it fol
k with chutzpah! By whatever name\, our music uplifts and unites. Fugu D
ugu is the unapologetic voice of Wild East Punk — a genre-defying fusion
of Balkan brass\, klezmer soul\, gypsy fire\, and punk rebellion. Born
in the smoky backstreets of Chicago and rooted in the deep folklore of M
oldova and Eastern Europe\, this female-led band is a cultural and music
al force. Their music is raw\, poetic\, and riotous\, delivered in Roman
ian\, Ukrainian\, Russian\, and English. At the center is Madame Broshki
na\, a classically trained violinist turned folk-punk sorceress\, and Bu
cky Wanko\, a guitar-slinging poet whose lyrics burn like protest poster
 s. Together\, they summon something that feels ancient and electric — fo
lklore with a switchblade. Fugu Dugu doesn’t play shows. They spark revo
lts. And nobody leaves unshaken.\n\nMore info: https://www.northstreetca
