SUMMARY:The EarRegulars
DESCRIPTION:The EarRegulars feature leader Jon-Erik Kellso on trumpet and
Matt Munisteri on guitar and feature guest artists every week. The play
swinging\, melodic classic jazz\, i.e. everything from New Orleans styl
e through the tin pan alley classics\, the swing era\, and mainstream ja
zz. They don't play half hour long solos\, although it's not unusual for
a song to last 10 minutes or more\; they like to take our time and enjo
y exploring ensemble improv'\, a conversational style. They approach tra
ditional jazz in an open-minded\, in-the-moment way. This band often smi
les and laughs (yes--even on stage!)\, and is not ashamed of this.\n\nMo
