SUMMARY:New Tampa Players: Come From Away
DESCRIPTION:When U.S. airspace was closed\, 38 planes carrying nearly 7\,
000 passengers were diverted to Gander\, Newfoundland\, a small town in
Canada. The local residents suddenly found themselves caring for thousan
 ds of unexpected visitors—providing food\, shelter\, clothing\, transpor
tation\, and emotional support. The musical follows both the stranded pa
ssengers and the people of Gander as they navigate fear\, uncertainty\,
culture clashes\, friendships\, and ultimately a remarkable sense of com
munity. Content Considerations: mild language\, discussion of 9/11\, and
alcohol consumption *An independent producer/presenter has rented the t
heater for this performance\; it is not produced by New Tampa Performing
Arts Center. Approximate run time: Two hours. Visit New Tampa Players w
ebsite for information. 8550 Hunters Village Rd. Tampa\, FL 33647 infoNT
