SUMMARY:Dead Ahead
DESCRIPTION:Dead Ahead exploded onto the New England music scene in the f
all of 2024\, turning their weekly residency at The Sanctuary in Maynard
\, MA\, into a must-see event. Rooted in the Grateful Dead\, they delive
 r high-energy\, feel-good performances packed with deep jams\, soaring h
armonies\, and nonstop grooves. Drawing inspiration from Little Feat and
The Allman Brothers Band\, they stand out with an ever-expanding repert
oire that blends Dead classics\, deep cuts\, and originals for a fresh\,
dynamic show every night. At the core is the powerhouse husband-and-wif
e guitar duo\, Ryan and Sonya Rae Taylor. Ryan\, a virtuosic guitarist k
nown for his masterful slide playing\, brings grit and soul\, while Sony
 a Rae—a true triple threat as a singer\, guitarist\, and former Nashvill
e staffsongwriter—adds raw power and finesse. On drums\, Alex MacDougall
delivers gutsy\, soulful vocals\, a rare force in the jam scene. The li
neup is rounded out by Justin Lopes (formerly of Bearly Dead) on keyboar
ds\, Matt Caporale on bass\, Joe Peck on guitar and vocals\, and Brendan
Tommaney on percussion\, adding infectious energy and deep rhythmic tex
 ture.\n\nMore info: https://stonechurchvt.com/events#/events/186088\n\nh
