DESCRIPTION:Since 2006\, Calvin has hosted a High School Honor Band Festi
 val. This annual event provides area students with the opportunity to me
 et\, rehearse\, and perform with other musicians from varying background
 s and programs. School directors nominate students to participate in thi
 s day of music-making and learning\, both in ensemble rehearsals and sec
 tional sessions with Calvin music faculty. The festival concludes with a
 n evening concert performance featuring the Calvin University Wind Ensem
