SUMMARY:Jordan TW Trio Celtic Christmas
DESCRIPTION:Putting a fresh spin on traditional Celtic music\, the NH-bas
ed Jordan TW Trio delivers a dynamic show full of lively fiddle tunes\,
haunting airs and their own spin on yuletide classics. Held in the Orcha
rd Chapel\, Hampton Falls (immediately next to Applecrest Orchards)\, th
is quintessential New England holiday setting (complete with oil lantern
s\, candles\, and old wooden pews with plush velvet cushions) provides t
he perfect home for our 12 Nights of Christmas series that promises to f
ill you with the festive spirit and happiness! For over a decade\, fiddl
er/singer Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki\, guitarist Matthew Jensen and bassist
Chris Noyes have blended the music of Ireland and Scotland with their ow
n original material\, drawing on multiple genres to produce a unique sou
nd that has been described as “larger-than-life” and “brisk\, lean and e
xceedingly lovely.” In 2013 Jordan was awarded the title of “Master Arti
st” by the NH State Council On The Arts\, and later named “Best Fiddler
2016” by NH Magazine. He composed the New England Emmy®-nominated theme
music for WMUR’s New Hampshire Chronicle\, and the Trio formed the core
band that recorded it. They have appeared live on NHPR’s “The Folk Show\
,” provided music for projects ranging from Ted Talks to children’s prog
rams\, and their albums can be heard on radio stations around the Britis
h Isles as well as back home in New England. "One of the most popular an
d most appreciated Celtic bands here in New Hampshire.” -Kate McNally\,
NHPR “Replete with gorgeous instrumental sets that transported the audie
nce through evocative airs into bouncy jigs and driving reels.” - Celtic
Beat "One can feel the strength and resolve of the people who have nurt
ured this music over the centuries…The fiddle practically cries with emo
tion throughout its melodic journey while true old world charm fills up
the backdrop.” - Bill Copeland Music News LIVE MUSIC POETRY & FICTION WO
