SUMMARY:Hans Gruber & the Die Hards
DESCRIPTION:7pm | 7:30pm | Advance $18 Day of Show $22 + Dice Fees | 21+
W/ Swigfoot Menacingly fun\, Hans Gruber and the Die Hards’ brand of pun
k/ska mashes genres together with messy intensity for maximum enjoyment.
From Boston hardcore to Colombian cumbia\, southern gospel to crossover
thrash\, their live shows are filled with mosh pits\, sock puppets\, co
nga lines and confusion – if you are brave enough to jump in feet first.
Formed in Austin\, TX in 2014\, the band shamelessly embraces change an
d welcomes musicians of all levels into their live show experience (fore
ver cementing those who join into the greater Grube family) and now has
a rotating cast of performers on their aggressive touring schedule. Thei
r newest album\, “Or Hans Gruber and the Die Hards\,” (self-released on
February 17\, 2026) is the truest attestation to the Grube family growin
g\, with more than 30 musicians making instrumental and vocal contributi
ons. They set out in 2023 with their producer Drew LeClair to create the
ir most prodigious album yet\, which led to memorable moments like an ev
ening fighting Austin traffic to set up a mobile rig to record three sec
onds of a harp from the vaudeville era\; to a day of live horn\, latin p
ercussion\, and choral ensembles\; to foley work with paper towels and a
dog water bowl. Truly\, this album came straight from the deranged mind
s and big hearts of the artists the world has come to know as Hans Grube
r and the Die Hards. Much like their ability to combine musical genres\,
their lyrics tread a fine line between metaphor\, truth\, sarcasm\, and
lies\, assuming their audiences have the know-how to join them on this
magical journey. Possessed by unbridled joy for music\, Hans Gruber and
the Die Hards continue to push forward\, looking for the next venue to h
aunt as they chant: IT JUST DOESN’T MATTER!\n\nTickets: https://link.dic
