John\, Scarlett Johansson\, Leyla McCalla\, Nora Arnezeder\, Gordon Ga no\, Spider Stacy\, Rickie Lee Jones and Ani DiFranco\, to name a few. W ith years of sold-out shows in New Orleans and abroad\, Lost Bayou Rambl ers were named Big Easy Awards’ Entertainers of the Year in 2019\, and 2 021 brought features in Rolling Stone magazine\, National Geographic and The New Yorker. In 2012\, with five albums under their belt\, including a Grammy nomination for their 2007 release “Live a la Blue Moon\,” the band released its most progressive and sonically experimental record to date\, “Mammoth Waltz.” With the stylings of producer Korey Richey (Arca de Fire\, Givers) and the help of guest artists Gordon Gano\, Scarlett J ohansson and Dr. John\, “Mammoth Waltz” was named No. 2 in the “Top 21 L ouisiana Albums of the 21st Century” by The Times-Picayune and acted as an invitation for all music lovers to tune in to the hypnotic Cajun rhyt hms Lost Bayou Ramblers have been known for since their inception in 199 9. Lost Bayou Ramblers’ contribution to the score of “Beasts of the Sout hern Wild” in 2012 brought them further international recognition and co ntinuing performances with Wordless Music Orchestra and score composers Benh Zeitlin and Dan Romer. Lost Bayou Ramblers stands at the crosscurre nts of Louisiana culture by inhabiting the gray area between Cajun and C reole\, convention and innovation\, mystery and revelation\, experimenti ng and growing the show to what it’s become today: an eclectic mix of mo dern sounds and rhythms with ancient Cajun melodies and lyrics. World Ca fé says\, “The Grammy-winning group plays a revved-up version of Cajun m usic\, shot through with punk energy and psychedelic fuzz.” Listen to Lo st Bayou Ramblers\n\nMore info: https://ogdenmuseum.org/event/live-in-th e-library/\n\nhttps://findlocal.community/event/fa2ac511-2e96-4f29-b7aa- b4c2cd37cbfd LOCATION:Ogden Museum of Southern Art\, 925 Camp Street\, New Orleans\, L A 70130 URL:https://findlocal.community/event/fa2ac511-2e96-4f29-b7aa-b4c2cd37cbf d STATUS:CONFIRMED SEQUENCE:0 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
