SUMMARY:The Mavericks & Friends - The Music Lives On
DESCRIPTION:Tickets on sale: Friday\, May 29 at 10AM For more than three
decades\, The Mavericks have built a sound unlike any other—blending cou
ntry\, rock n’ roll\, Tex-Mex Cuban rhythms and Latin flair into an unfo
rgettable live experience. Formed in Miami in 1989 and led by the legend
ary Raul Malo\, the Grammy-winning band became known for timeless hits l
ike “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down”\, “Back in Your Arms Again” and “
Dance the Night Away”. A battle with cancer forced Raul off the road in
2025\, but his musical influence remained. During his final hours on ear
th\, he watched from afar as his bandmates played the Ryman Auditorium\,
honoring the man and his melodies with help from guest singers\, family
  members\, and a sold-out crowd. This was more than a concert\; it was a
celebration of the legacy the Mavericks had built together\, highlighti
ng the staying power of lifelong friendships. Great songs endure\, even
when their original vocalists are no longer here to sing them. There's n
o replacing a once-in-a-generation talent like Raul Malo\, but there is
a way to honor the music he left behind. That's why The Mavericks are re
turning to the road\, presented as The Mavericks & Friends\, these all-s
tar shows will feature a decade-spanning version of the band\, along wit
h guest singers like Emily West and James Otto. With returning original
members\, surprise musical moments and a setlist that changes nightly\,
every show is a one-of-a-kind celebration of the songs that continue to
connect generations of fans. The world looks different than it did in 19
89\, when The Mavericks launched their career in the punk bars and rock
clubs of Miami. Decades have passed and trends have shifted\, but The Ma
vericks have endured. Now\, they've found a new path forward as The Mave
ricks & Friends\, honoring their beloved Raul Malo while building upon t
he legacy he helped create.\n\nTickets: https://www.ticketmaster.ca/the-
