About this event
Kristen Lee Sergeant launches her new single "Chardonnay" — the first taste of her forthcoming album Intoxication (Sunnyside, March '27), produced by Michael Leonhart — with an intimate evening of song exploring desire, memory, and the world of sublunar intrigue. As a singer, songwriter, and certified sommelier, she's a unique guide into the realms of transformation and pleasure. DownBeat praises her "smart lyrics and gorgeous legit vocals," noting the "strong sense of story" she brings to vocal jazz; BroadwayWorld, her "a unique feeling of musical exploration" with "the vocal ability to follow wherever that exploration might take her." Having played New York's most iconic jazz rooms — including Birdland, Dizzy's Club, Joe's Pub, and Minton's — Sergeant today brings that exploration to her own new music, backed by an exceptional band, including special guest and multi-Grammy Award winner Ted Nash.
