Terms of Service

Welcome to Find Local. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the findlocal.community website and related services (the "Service"), operated by EH Solutions LLC ("Find Local," "we," "us").

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

Anyone may browse the Service without an account. A developer account is needed to hold API keys; to open one you must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You must meet the legal age required in your jurisdiction to attend events involving alcohol or other age-restricted activities. Event organizers and venues, not Find Local, set and enforce admission requirements.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to collect data from the Service beyond what our robots.txt permits, without our written permission. Structured access is available through our JSON API, MCP server and widgets.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' access to it.
• Misrepresent Find Local, or present our data as your own or as an official venue listing.

We may restrict or block access that violates this policy at our sole discretion.

4. API, MCP server and widgets

These terms apply to data you obtain through a developer account: the JSON API and the MCP server. Plans and their limits are listed on the pricing page.

• Attribution on the Free plan. Wherever data obtained with a Free-plan key is shown to end users, display a visible text link reading "Event data by FindLocal" (or equivalent wording) pointing to https://findlocal.community. Paid plans are exempt from this requirement.
• Use in your own product. You may display, filter and combine the data in your own apps, sites and agents. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the dataset, or a substantial part of it, as a dataset, nor mirror it to build a competing event database.
• Caching. You may cache responses for up to 24 hours. Do not serve data older than that; events change, and stale listings mislead your users.
• Keys. Keys belong to your account and must be kept secret. All of an account's keys share its plan's monthly quota and per-minute limit; creating more keys does not add quota. We may revoke keys used in breach of these Terms.
• Plans and quotas. We may change plan prices, quotas or limits with at least 30 days' notice by email to account holders. Changes to paid plans take effect at your next billing period. A paid subscription started at a launch price keeps that price for as long as it stays active; cancelling and re-subscribing later is at the price on sale then.
• Overage on paid plans. Paid plans are not cut off at their monthly quota. Calls past it are charged at the overage rate shown on the pricing page (currently $0.002 per call), added to your next invoice after the month ends. The Free plan stops at its quota.
• Fair use of the Free plan. Free is for evaluation and personal projects. If we see signs of production use (sustained traffic, a public deployment or commercial use), we may ask you to move to a paid plan.
• Billing and refunds. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed. Unused calls do not carry over and are not refunded or credited. An upgrade takes effect immediately and the difference for the rest of the period is charged at once; a downgrade takes effect at the next billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
• Availability. The Free plan carries no service-level commitment. Paid plans are provided on a best-effort basis without an uptime guarantee.

The embeddable widgets are free, need no key and carry their own link back to Find Local; you may not remove it.

5. Content, accuracy and intellectual property

Event and venue information is collected from public venue calendars, ticketing pages and other public sources and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Dates, times, prices and availability can change without notice; always confirm with the venue or ticket seller before making plans or purchases. Event names, images and descriptions belong to their respective owners and are shown for the purpose of identifying and linking to the event. The Service's design, code and compiled dataset are owned by Find Local. Venues and organizers may request correction or removal of a listing at any time by emailing us.

6. Third-party sites and tickets

Ticket purchases and event registrations happen on third-party sites under their own terms. Find Local is not a party to those transactions and is not responsible for their content, pricing, refunds or fulfilment.

7. Affiliate links and commission disclosure

Some links on the Service may be affiliate links, and Find Local may receive a commission if you make a purchase through them, regardless of whether the purchase is made immediately after clicking or later. Affiliate links do not affect the price you pay or which events we show.

8. Third-party analytics and tracking

Find Local does not use third-party analytics or session-recording tools and does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may record aggregate, cookie-free traffic metrics for security and reliability. See our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EH Solutions LLC is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your use of the Service or from inaccurate, incomplete or outdated event information, including travel costs or missed events.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Different consumer and data-protection laws may apply depending on your location.

11. Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the revised Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
