Redlin or Rodin: Essays on Midwestern Scenery is a travelogue through a famous duck-and-deer painter’s oeuvre during the 2020 pandemic, as the homesick writer and journalist Christopher Vondracek drives from Washington D.C. back to Minnesota and South Dakota, rediscovering aesthetic identity and the regional history of his Upper Midwest homeland.
