6:30pm-8pm Location: Mermaid Books You’re invited! To a different kind of book club. This group is all about singing the praises of a book you’re obsessed with: a desert-island read, a book you wish you could reread again as if for the first time, a book you cannot live without. Come prepared to state your case! Pretend you’re in school, giving a book report! A mini dissertation! Except for funsies, in a cozy no-pressure environment where there are snacks, in front of all your book-obsessive new friends. This club will meet periodically and the assignment will shift, month to month, with different themes. For our first meetup, simply bring the book you always, always recommend. If you want to talk about your book, you’ll get up and do that, and then contribute a copy of the book to our whole-group swap. At the end of the night, someone will walk away with your beloved book, and you’ll take home a book one of your new friends is obsessed with. How fun is that? Space is limited!
