Last Train Home

About this event

Sat. Jan. 2: LAST TRAIN HOME -7:30pm- Tix: $39.50 ($53.65 through Ticketmaster, $46.50 at the Birchmere Box Office) For more than a quarter century, Washington D.C.’s own Last Train Home has been one of the most exciting, dynamic, creative, and adventurous bands you’ll ever hear, blending rock and country with bluegrass, swing, Tin Pan Alley, lush pop, and barrelhouse blues. Since its debut recording in 1997 right up through its 2025 EP Used Songs For Sale, Last Train Home has followed a path unlike any other, and is still going strong. Led by former Washington Post music writer Eric Brace, LTH has been compared to the Mavericks, Wilco, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Los Lobos, and other Americana greats. If you like horns plus pedal steel guitar, in support of lyrically profound and beautiful songs, you should get to know Last Train Home.
