About this event

Join us for a conversation with Science for the People Chicago and Dr. Sharon Waller, elected MWRD Commissioner, to learn more about the past, present, and future of Chicago's water systems. Chicago's history is inextricably tied to its water systems - it's position on Lake Michigan, our history of river engineering, and the development of the Chicago Deep Tunnel. Come learn more about what we can do to secure Chicago's water systems into the future in the face of climate crisis. Please RSVP to Science for the People Dr. Waller is a licensed Professional Environmental Engineer and the first water engineer to be elected to the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District.
