Founded in 2021 by Bruce Hilton and Larry Ladrie, Being Petty brings together an exceptional group of musicians dedicated to recreating the excitement and emotion of a live Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers performance. Following their very first show, the band was invited to participate in the Legends Tribute show at the 8,000-seat Bank of NH Pavilion alongside some of the country’s best tribute acts. More than an ordinary tribute band, Being Petty captures the look, sound and feel of the original group with authentic wardrobe, guitars, amplifiers and drums. Their live performance also features multimedia elements for a complete concert experience. From unforgettable hits like “American Girl,” “Refugee,” “Free Fallin’,” “I Won’t Back Down,” “Learning to Fly” and “Runnin’ Down a Dream” to surprise deep cuts, Being Petty celebrates every chapter of Tom Petty’s musical legacy from the 1970s through the 2010s. Every performance is a tribute to the music, the fans and the lasting legacy of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
