Join us in partnership with the Wisconsin Book Festival at the Madison Public Library for a discussion with Jarrett Dapier on Wake Now in the Fire. Event begins at 7pm! This event is part of Banned Books Week 2026 and presented in partnership with Beyond the Page. Wake Now in the Fire is a fictionalized account of a true event that galvanized a community, based on extensive interviews with the real-life students and teachers who were affected, and written by the librarian who exposed key information about the Chicago Public Schools censorship decision.
