Author Deborah Lee Luskin will be joined by Representative Emilie Kornheiser, Chair of the House Committee of Ways and Means, to discuss what we have to learn from the past, through the lens of Luskin’s novel, Into the Wilderness , an unlikely love story between a New York Democrat and born and bred Vermonter set in 1964. How do people from opposite sides of the political spectrum talk to one another, let alone fall in love? Can fiction become fact? Is there middle ground?
