About this event
Join us for a screening of Please Vote for Me (2007, 57 minutes). Join us on Zoom for the movie at 6:00, or feel free to jump in around 7:00 for the discussion. Please Vote For Me is an experiment in democracy. The documentary follows a class at an elementary school in central China, where a third-grade teacher teaches about democracy by staging an election for class monitor. Three children vie for the office, indulging in all the low blows and character assassination of a typical Western-style election.
