About this event

This Banned Books Week, we’re teaming up with @librofm and @SilentBookClub to host a Banned Books Read-In to protest book censorship. Join us on October 7 during business hours as we read and take action to fight book bans! We will have resources about book banning in Iowa - specifically SF 496, an Iowa law that seeks to silence LGBTQ+ students, erase any recognition of LGBTQ+ people from public schools, and ban books with sexual or LGBTQ+ content - as well as postcards to write your representatives.
