Join us at 6pm in the backyard for the inaugural night of Cinema Pete's-adiso! We’ll be screening Spike Lee’s DO THE RIGHT THING, and at 8pm Martin Scorsese’s AFTER HOURS. If you live in New York and have not seen these movies this would be a great time to correct this gap in your Letterboxd reviews. So please come grab a drink and end the summer with some great Cinema Pete’s-adiso!1989’s DO THE RIGHT THING is the story of Bed Stuy on maybe the hottest day ever. It’s a beautiful film that is funny, tense and unfortunately still extremely relevant.1985’s AFTER HOURS is a sleeper Scorsese comedy that’s a mix of Kafka and the odyssey following one yuppies journey home through 1980’s Soho after an extremely bad date. WARNING: Both films contain content, subject matter, imagery, and language that may be considered offensive
