Audrey Drake

About this event

Audrey Drake grabs the attention of her listeners with music that tugs at their hearts and an unassumingly cultivated voice. Her music crosses many styles and offers a great balance of songs both familiar and unknown, curated for the people in front of her. Listeners love her angelic tone and are sometimes surprised by the powerhouse of soulful sound within her. Her shows leave the audience feeling elevated and wanting to hear more of her music, the stories behind them, and the songs she covers in her uniquely beautiful way. Years of hard work, classical training, and real-life experience are the driving forces behind her original music. Haunting melodies and soulful lyrics transport you to a place where there is only you, the music, and life’s journey. Audrey's stage presence is warm, authentic, personal, and completely relatable. Her lyrics tell of old family history and her own experiences and are knit together with gorgeous melodies, an expressive velvet voice, and her fine guitar playing. The listener is drawn in, wanting to hear every evocative word and tone. Her music is also influenced by her spiritual journey and path. Whether singing on festival stages, in yoga spaces, or Kirtan events, her unique voice and contemplative lyrics touch the hearts of those present, offering healing. Combining a truly unique musical style with her formal study and a desire to tell stories that speak to us all, an evening spent with Audrey Drake is like an evening spent with any of the great soulful singers of our time.
