Special Event: BioBlitz, Moakley Park, September 12

About this event

Come join park biologists and Boston Harbor Now staff for a special bioblitz event at Moakley Park! Help us contribute to community science efforts by observing and recording different species of all types. We will explore and discuss the importance of community science, native flora and fauna, and ecological principles associated with recording the presence of different species. This event will require the use of a phone app, iNaturalist. There will be more instructions and logistics regarding iNaturalist prior to the event. Our September 12 volunteer event will be held in recognition of the September 11 Day of Service, honoring the victims and heroes of September 11 through community service and volunteerism. Directions: The event will be held at Moakley Park (450 Old Colony Ave, Dorchester, MA 02127). There is parking at a few lots along Columbia Road and William J.
