Living Voices: Winning Her Wings

Join us for a FREE 45-minute performance of "Winning Her Wings" presented by Living Voices. Who were the first women to fly for the U.S. military—and what did they face along the way? Winning Her Wings tells the story of Birdie, a Jewish American pilot who joins the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs) during World War II. Alongside Ah Ying Lee, one of only two Chinese American WASPs, she navigates sexism, racism, and antisemitism to serve her country from the air. This all-ages multimedia performance brings life to history through dynamic solo theatre and archival film, honoring the courageous women who served—and those whose stories often went untold.
