About this event
Hailing from Chicago, Rock & Rye began playing their high-energy saxophone-infused blend of Grateful Dead tunes in 2014. What began as a shared passion for improvisation, deep-cut Dead tunes, and the joy of live performance has grown into one of the city’s most dynamic tribute acts—known for high‑energy shows, adventurous setlists, and a commitment to keeping the Dead’s free‑spirited essence alive. The band draws inspiration from the Grateful Dead’s extensive catalogue, blending originals and covers from legends such as Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, and The Beatles. Creative song transitions, improvisational jams, unique set lists, and complete show recreations are features at Rock & Rye concerts.
