Elizabeth Field and David Sariti - 400 Years of Music!

About this event

Elizabeth Field and David Sariti: 2 Violinists, 4 Violins, 8 Bows and 400 Years of Music! This wide-ranging program gives audiences a rare opportunity to hear first-hand the evolution of the violin and its bows. Field and Sariti will guide the listener through time by explaining the evolution in construction and how it mirrored changes in compositional and playing style. From early 17th-century consort music, to the high Baroque, domestic Classical music, Romantic chamber music, and concert pieces of the 20th and 21st centuries, the listener will experience the equivalent of four concerts in one!
