About this event

Josph Orso is a husband & father, writer, farmer, & mentor who says of his story: "After graduating from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in 2005 and working as a religion reporter in my late 20s, I met my wife and walked away from climbing the career ladder. We now live in an old log house we rebuilt in rural, southwest Wisconsin..." His first book, On the Threshold of Worlds: tending my father before and after his last breath, takes the reader through an experience most of us leave only to the funeral industry. "In a techno-obsessed age that sees suffering and death as glitches, this book invites readers into an age made holy again by the work of human hands." (taken from the back of the book). The book releases in September and will be available for purchase at Commonplace Books. Please join us on November 16th at 7pm, for a conversation between author Joseph Orso and Dean of Education at The Academy, Andrew Black.
