She quickly earned a devoted following and established herself as a standout new voice. Since emerging in 2024, she has received early praise from tastemakers like Zane Lowe and Rick Beato and has been featured in outlets such as Guitar.com,Fretboard Journal, andEARMILK. Harner’s debut EP,Taking My Side(Opens in a new window), was released this past July and explores the highs, lows, and quiet revelations of young adulthood with clarity, courage, and a sound that feels entirely her own. Known for her ability to fuse intricate guitar work with emotionally direct songwriting, Harner brings a rare mix of technical precision and raw vulnerability to everything she creates. This fall, Harner embarked on her debut headlining tour forTaking My Side, following previous support runs with Orla Gartland across her US and EU tours, as well as opening slots for Leith Ross, mxmtoon, Tiny Habits, Flawed Mangoes, the Bygones, and more. Shallow Alcove’s music is based in their love of DIY folk music and colored with narratives of friendship, the changing of the seasons, bad haircuts, and the ache of growing up. What started as friends writing songs in the bedrooms and basements of upstate New York has since shifted to the apartments and studios of New York City and Philadelphia, but Shallow Alcove’s roots have remained the same: storytelling with the people they love.
